We Are Ready With The Travel Bubble SOP - MOTAC

Should international borders reopen for tourist operations, the Tourism, Arts, and Culture Ministry (MOTAC) is ready with the appropriate standard operating procedures (SOP).

Speaking at the 2020-2030 National Tourism Policy Roadshow session on Monday, Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri said the most important thing regarding the SOP is complying with the Covid-19 screening test before entering the country.

Apart from that, other related SOPs include using registered tourism agents and travelling in small groups.

At the moment, the ministry are targetting to reopen golf and outdoor activities such as snorkelling and diving to the foreign tourist.

Six Asian countries which have been identified and targetted for the tourism bubble were Singapore, Korea, Japan, Vietnam, China and Brunei.

However she said, the reopening of international borders was still subject to the decision from the federal government, as they would have to assess the current Covid-19 development.

If we follow the current situation and the SOP for domestic travel, we are only allowed to travel via tour operator (like us).

As for now, we have packages to Vietnam, China and South Korea, starting from RM 2,500 for 5 days 4 night including flight fare!
