The Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO) will be implemented in Pulau Tioman, Rompin, Pahang starting from today, March 16 to 29, said Senior Minister (Security Cluster) Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
The decision was made after taking into account the risk assessment of various agencies in the Movement Control Order (MCO) Technical Committee and advice from the Ministry of Health (MOH).
There has been a sharp increase in cases with a high rate of infectivity in the community in this locality as confirmed by MOH whereby there are16 positive cases have been recorded until March 14 and the MOH has carried out 48 screening tests.
Note : Since the popular island are on EMCO now, we put on hold all packages related to the island at the moment, until the EMCO status lifted.
