The proposal to expand the travel bubble pact during the COVID-19 pandemic with green zone countries will be further discussed before a deal can be reached with the various parties, according to Tourism, Arts and Culture (MOTAC) Minister, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.
In addition to approvals from the Ministry of Health (MOH), Foreign Affairs Ministry, Home Ministry and the National Security Council (MKN), the reciprocal Green Lane (RGL) and travel bubble initiatives proposed must have the consent of the countries concerned.
MOTAC also calls for the extension with the relevant Ministries until December 2021 for the one-off incentives under the Domestic Travel Bubble program.
The travel bubble expansion had been proposed to include Brunei, South Korea, New Zealand, Australia and Japan.
