Starting tomorrow (11 December), the number of travel routes of ferry services from Kuala Kedah and Kuala Perlis to Langkawi will be increase.
According to the statement by the Director of the Department of Marine Malaysia Northern Region, Mohd Hafiz Abdul Majid, this allows tourists to visit the island using the ferry service as usual according to the schedule.
The increase in the ferry route followed the request of the public who wanted the ferry operator to increase the sea transport service after PKPB (CMCO) was relaxed.
Starting tomorrow, the ferry frequencies from Langkawi to Kuala Kedah will be added to four trips while Langkawi to Kuala Perlis to five trips, compared to the current two one-way trips.
Regardless, all ferry passengers are also constantly reminded to comply with COVID 19 SOP set and always plan a trip to avoid congestion at the jetty.
