Kinabalu Park complex, Taman Bukit Tawau in Tawau along with the Tun Sakaran Marine Park and Pulau Sipadan Park in Semporna have been temporarily closed for disinfection due to Covid-19 cases.
The closure of the Kinabalu Park complex – the gateway to Mount Kinabalu – was announced on Thursday and the measure has been taken followed a rise in Covid-19 cases in Sabah’s east coast, especially Tawau and Semporna which are currently listed as red zones.
The disinfection process for the three parks will take seven days until Sept 30. All parks will not be opened to the public during the operation
