Visitors from certain districts in Sabah will be subject to stricter health check-ups when entering Labuan following the increase in Covid-19 cases in the state.
Depending on their travel history, visitors leaving Labuan for more than three days may need to undergo swab testing at Labuan Airport and ferry terminals.
"Those who return to Labuan after being in Lahad Datu and Tawau for at least three days must undergo a swab test" said Labuan Health Department Director Dr Ismuni Bohari.
This is a normal standard operating procedure (SOP) for those with a history of travel to areas with increased Covid-19 cases.
