A new method for the payment of street parking in the city will be adopted by Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) starting from today.
In a statement yesterday, DBKL said that the parking payments would now be done through mobile applications and e-wallets, namely the EZ Smart Park, Flexiparking, Wilayah Parking or M-Cash to replace the use of parking payment machines.
Example from EZ Smart Park.
First of all, it is the same as any other apps, you need to register yourself via email and phone number.
Register your car number (you can register more than one).
Select your parking area, car and duration and make a payment via the apps.
In the meantime, DBKL also in the midst of implementing parking payment via Boost and Touch n Go e-wallet to provide more payment options for users.
As for now, the daily and monthly passes for parking are not available yet on the apps and e-wallets but the options will be activated after the system upgrading.
DBKL also added that the applications for reserved bays are operating as usual and at the same costs.
So, today onwards the DBKL encouraged the public to familiarise themselves with the new payment method.
