Another Medical Emergency Forces Royal Caribbean Cruise Return To Singapore 7 Hours Early

It's another 'cruise to nowhere' cut short again for Royal Caribbean as the Quantum of the Seas returned to Singapore 7 hours ahead of schedule due to a passenger illness as reported by The Straits Times.



Yesterday, the company release a statement explaining that the incident are not Covid-19 related and upon arrival, the guest was taken to the hospital immediately.


Originally, the cruise are supposed to return to Singapore on Thursday morning at 6, but the Royal Caribbean cruise return to the Lion city on Wednesday night.


According to a passenger, the ship made an announcement around 8 p.m (Wednesday) and 30 minutes after that, the casino and the duty-free shop had to close. Due to the time constrains, it is reported that some guests are rushing to cash out their casino chips while others hurriedly make the last minute purchase.


On Dec 9, the same ship turned back on the third day of a four-day voyage after an elderly passenger on board tested positive for the coronavirus.
